Philosophy and stuff

Wait that snowboarding is harder to learn than skiing. It is also more interesting and creative. Making on-the-fly decisions is exciting. At first you will fall a lot. You have to roll with the punches. It pays to anticipate what you do and think as you do. Because snowboarding is energetically demanding, and because your level of concentration influences your success, I suggest get a decent nightsleep. It also helps to be fit (obviously, you have to work on this before your trip), and be courageous.

The day started out as my worst day became the best. If you have a shitty day and feel like you just do not get it, keep it, it could become your best day of snowboarding!

Your Travel

If this is your first time snowboarding, and you do not plan to be able to do so often, I recommend going on a length of two or three consecutive days. You'll get a lot more things this way. Before you begin your trip, check the snow conditions at the park nearest the Internet. If the temperature is too low, there may be mud. If there is little snowfall and strong winds that blow what little there is out of the mountain, leaving most of the ice or snow very packed, you will not get as much of your experience first time. It may pay to travel to a different park or postpone your trip until conditions are better.

I would like your comments. If you are a snowboarder for the first time, let me know if this site has been helpful. If you are an experienced surfer and you think something does not appear here that would be useful to Total Newbie, please write.
